Our First Family Outing
Today, after much debate, the five of us went to the beach. Spencer and I sat in a chair and read while Matt, Lucy and Emma played in the lake. It was beautiful. We figured that the beach would be pretty empty since the Fourth of July festivities were still going on. And we were right. We stayed about an hour and a half and came home as soon as the vacationers started pouring in. Then I took a nice refreshing nap. Matt is watching the fireworks with Lucy now as I am catching up on some useless TV shows. A very good day by my standards.

That sounds like a wonderful day by anyone's standards! I would love to go to the beach...the sooner, the better!
I'm glad you were able to get out for awhile. Reading at the beach sounds wonderful, and I bet the girls had fun playing with their dad. :-) It was such a beautiful day yesterday.
