We've been seeing small spiders around since we moved in. Nothing much and nothing that we didn't see in Maine. In fact, we may have brought them with us.
But then... the other night I saw a big nasty spider that I'm sure we didn't bring with us. Matt said it was a wolf spider and that unlike most spiders, they don't spin webs for food, they hunt.
I called the managers of the housing development yesterday to set up an appointment for them to come and spray for the creepies. They came over this morning and sprayed all of the wall/floor junctions with child safe pesticides. I'm thinking of just calling them every other month just for prevention.
One of the guys that came saw our living room and asked if we were LDS. I said yes. He and his wife just came back from picking his son up from his mission in Switzerland. Pretty neat.
And just for fun...

okay, that was freakin' hilarious..but the BEST part is the very end when the caption "First Church of Christ" pops up...THAT part is funny, considering the language....
Okay, I can't even watch the video. Seriously. I have big time spider issues. They would be ONE reason I'll never envy anyone living down south. One word... ORTHO. We used to pay a guy $40 a month to come spray our house. Until I figured out how he did it and that the stuff he uses is pretty much the same thing as Ortho and Ortho is MUCH cheaper. Seriously, Ortho. Every month.
I tried to watch it. I made it 7 seconds. I HATE spiders.
I'll remember the Ortho.
And wolf spiders are nasty.
I was watching some tv show and it said that you're never more than 6 feet away from a spider.
I choose not to believe it.
