When it's not ok to pretend... apparently

Last month, I received a phone call from my sister Megan.  Her daughter was collecting random data from family members as to their favorite pizza toppings for a homework assignment.  We we each supplied our toppings of choice.  ("If you had your own pretend pizza, what would you put on it?")

This morning Lucy reminded me of the conversation and then asked me when she was going to get her pizza.

I told her again that it was a pretend pizza and explained why she wanted to know what our favorite toppings again ("it's for her homework, you know for her school")

So Lucy screwed up her face in concentration.   "So like... is she selling them?"

Apparently pizza is NOT something that can just be hypothetical.

I totally feel for her... I've been craving pizza for the last two months and Bob keeps forgetting to pick up the mozzarella cheese... so we're waiting and hopefully he'll remember it Saturday when he's at Costco!

Too bad Lucy won't be here... we'd make her one!
