Some pics of Christmas festivities!
Our ginger bread houses were less than traditional. I made gingerbread cookies in the shape of houses instead of building them. They are held up by frosting and toothpicks.
I can't believe I got that Christmas tree in and set up all by myself. I had some help with the decorations and the lights aren't as nice as when Matt does it, but it was still a very pretty tree.
I was able to find some great vintage looking dresses and coats on ebay. Aren't they cute? They look like they walked straight out of Anne of Green Gables.
I just love this picture. We are watching Home Alone 2. You see Emma laughing hysterically and Spencer covering his ears because he is scared. Emma did that too now that I think about it.
Christmas morning was filled with giggles and hugs and gasps of excitement from everyone. The kiddos spent the rest of the day playing with their treasures up in their rooms while Matt read to me. A pretty great day in my book.

Love the coats!!! And nice job on the tree too. MANY a tree the kids and I have put up while Jason was away. He always enjoys seeing what a great job we did when he returns!
They look like they need some trunks and a train station for a background! Let's see the dresses!
The gingerbread house that Eleanor brought home from your house looked so yummy! I like the idea of making the houses out of the cookie mix.
Great job with the Christmas tree! It's amazing what we can do when we are forced to when our husbands are not around.

I love your Christmas Eve tradition of opening a movie and watching it. Zoe wants to start that tradition!
I now have to read The Girl Who Could Fly. Do I dare start yet another book that I can't put down and I'll want to read over and over again??? Matt finds it funny that I am already reading Twilight again and enjoying it just as much, maybe even more than I did the first time.
