The following is a conversation I had with Lucy and Emma this morning. We were getting ready to take advantage of the sun at the Seacoast Fun Park.
Lucy to me "Is that your bathing suit?"
Me" Yup, I have two bathing suits."
Lucy "is the other one for when you get skinny?"
Me, sick of the skinny comments "Lucy, stop talking about when I get skinny. It's not nice."
Lucy "Ok, or talk about the way you are now"
Emma to Lucy "It's not nice to talk about how Mommy's tummy is as big as a house".
No wonder I have body image issues.
